Wedding photographer based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

I am a mother of three boys (all under three ……which includes a set of 7 month old twins!) and have been a fan of photography for years. I started shooting weddings seriously about three years ago and with the arrival of my twins, I decided to reduce my working hours in order to spend more time at home with my boys. Using photography to make up for the loss of income was a natural progression.

I love shooting weddings….. the pressure, the nerves, the emotions! It’s an escape for me and I thrive when I am photographing weddings! My approach to shooting each wedding is fresh & unique, to each individual couple.

My “mission” with wedding photography is to, simply,  …. ‘enjoy it’. I do not want to become a “one stop photo shop” where I take on weddings every weekend and follow a set formula with each ceremony. I want to keep the number of clients I take on to a bare minimum so that I can keep each wedding tailor-made and give each job the amount of time, passion and attention they each deserve!

    Hi Andrea

Dror mentions you on the photography forum and I thought I would check out some of your work as I love looking at photography. (Good thing that since I do it all day!)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think your stuff that I’ve seen is really beautiful… I haven’t seen much like it since I got back from the UK to SA a few months ago.. just seen way too much cheesy stuff. Yours is very refreshing!

Cheers from a very cold Cape Town!

    Hi,

I am just a hobby photographer. I really love your pics. You have a great eye. I have to know, is it your camera or do you do post-processing to get such beautiful colours. That is one thing that I battle with.

    Cheers
    Kim

    Hey Andrea

Even though I was rather fussed about the amount of pics that you took on our wedding day (mostly due to the fact that the crowd was getting hungry and that some of them were already looking at us with a Hannibal Lecter look on their faces), I must say it was well worth it at the end of the day.
I don’t think Liezl could have chosen a better photographer to capture the magic of the day.
I’m sure the pics will ellicit the same emotions even 50 years from now when I look at them again and I’ll be able to relive the day every time.
Thanks for the woenderful work. Keep it up!

It is 3:59 and why I’m still up I didn’t know until I ran across your web site. I could really go on and on at this point because I’m past sleepy but I must tell you this.

Your web site is fresh and clean looking! Your work is wonderful! BUT… what you captured with the childern has stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me what it feels like to rest and enjoy life. You made me think and revisit why I am here on earth. Thank you so much for sharing your gift to the world.

Gosh Rodney, thank you for one great big compliment!
I always wonder if my personal pics bore…get that vision of the “Uncle Bob” family holiday on them old fashioned slide projectors where you have to endure all 300 slides!

I came across your blog at random whilst roving through WordPress, and I am so stunned at the quality of your photos … their sensitivity, their composition, their lyricism. I was particularly astonished by the series of black and white “vintage” photos you took of the groom … if the man you presented is reflective of who he really is, that woman is in for a lifetime of tenderness, humor, and incredible class. I hope when he’s having a bad day, he can look at those photos and remember what you saw in his face.

  11. Hey friend,
